Apple has introduced the 15 African-American and Latino-owned companies that are revolutionizing the green technology and clean energy industry and that will form the first class of the Impact Accelerator program, which aims to promote equal opportunities in the environmental sector. This program, part of Apple’s Racial Justice and Equity initiative, will help break down systemic barriers to equal opportunity and encourage innovative solutions for communities most affected by climate change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 15 chosen companies come from different corners of the United States, from Silicon Valley in California to Michigan, passing through different Native American communities in the Midwest of the country, and all of them are revolutionizing the environmental sectors with their energy efficiency solutions, solar energy , green chemistry, recycling and other fields. Many of them are committed to bringing clean energy, opportunities and essential services to the most vulnerable and disadvantaged communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selected companies will participate in personalized training programs and will have access to Apple experts and an entire community of alumni. The Impact Accelerator program has been created with Black, Hispanic, Native American and Native American-owned businesses in mind, and is intended to share Apple’s determination to innovate for the benefit of the environment as they grow. Following the three-month virtual program, companies will be eligible to become Apple suppliers to help the company achieve its goal of becoming carbon neutral in its supply chain and products by 2030.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
